Linear Functions - Truck Driver

A truck driver starts off at the dispatch location and plans perfectly to run out of gas just as he reaches his drop off location.

In the graph below, the amount of gas (fuel) the truck still has in the tank is a function of time (hours)... MEANING...The amount of gas in the truck depends on how many hours into the trip the driver is. 

Note: Majority of truck drivers are considered essential workers right now during this pandemic. If you know a truck driver, thank them for their help in getting necessary supplies across the country.
